Honor
Blackman's Book of Self-Defence
(Published 1965 by Andre Deutsch, 136 pages, price
unknown. Hardcover).
Contents:
Introduction of about five pages, which goes into
The Avengers quite a bit, with another airing of the 'French Resistance'
anecdote; lots of self-defence advice with many, many photos of Honor
Blackman.
Unique Selling Point:
If you like Honor Blackman, then this is the book
for you. There must be about 100 black & white photos of the
erstwhile Cathy Gale duffing up men - at the beach, in an alley, in the
gym, at a club etc etc. You get the point.
Note
This book was reprinted three years later by Penguin
(the copy I own is the one pictured on the right); Honor Blackman did
a signing tour for the book - one confirmed appearance was at Kendal Milne
in Manchester in December 1965.
